What is Australia PVT?
The PVT Australia is a “Working Holiday Program” which allows each year more than 200,000 young people aged 18 to 30 or 35 to go and live a year in Australia, by combining new professional experiences with diverse and varied travel experiences. This program can be renewed twice and the number of places is not limited for the French, the Canadians and the Belgians. The Australia PVT works like a visa and allows participants to work and travel as they wish in Australia for a maximum of one year, renewable twice.

Who is concerned by the PVT Australia?
The PVT Australia concerns all young people between the ages of 18 and 30. French, Canadian and Irish nationals are accepted up to the age of 35. Age is taken into account on the date of submission of the PVT application file. All young people from all over the world are concerned by this program, but Belgian, Canadian and French nationals have an advantage, since their number is not limited. People who have already benefited from a PVT in Australia are entitled to renew their request up to two times, either in continuity with the first, or a few years later.

When the eligibility conditions are met, the PVT application in Australia is made directly online, on the Australian government website. The form to be completed is in English and the process takes 25 to 40 minutes on average. You must then send the supporting documents: a copy of the passport and proof of funds of at least AU$5,000. You will then have to pay the visa fee, which is AU$495. An additional fee of AU$7 is levied when paying by credit card. In some cases, Australian authorities may also require applicants to undergo a medical examination.

Australia is one of the only WHP destinations in the world to have no seat limits under the Working Holiday Visa. This lack of limitation only concerns nationals of Canada, France and Belgium. Nationals of other countries, for example Spanish or Portuguese, will have to respect certain quotas, higher or lower depending on the country. These quotas range from 100 people per year for countries like Ecuador, to more than 4,000 people per year for countries like Indonesia or China.
Price to do a PVT in Australia
All applicants for the PVT Australia must pay a participation fee corresponding to the administrative costs of the visa. The participation fee for PVT Australia is AU$495. This sum is to be paid in Australian dollars after completing the form. Candidates paying by credit card must also pay a fee of AU$7.
In addition, applicants must be able to provide proof of a sum equal to at least AU$5,000 in their bank account.

The working holiday visa obtained within the framework of the PVT is valid for 12 months from the arrival on Australian territory. It allows you to enter and leave the territory as many times as desired. When the PVT expires, it is possible to renew your application twice in order to benefit from a new period of one or two years, for a total of three years in Australia. The renewal of the PVT Australia can be done either in the continuity of the first, or a few years later when the eligibility conditions are met.
